System Integration

Ocean environmental monitoring system, Ocean research vessel's instrument, passive acoustic monitoring system, buoy/bottom-mounted/pile-fixed/unmanned vehicles, structural health monitoring system in offshore wind farms

Operation Services

Installation and maintenance of ocean and underwater measurement system, visual inspection on underwater structures and seabed, mini-ROV operation and survey, design and installation of fixed frame for mobile instrument and equipment on vessel.

Data Analysis

Meteorological and oceanographical data analysis, underwater noise variations and characteristics, physical oceanographic data, seabed bathymetry, on-board measurement data, structural sound and vibration signals, remote sensing data from satellites.

Ocean Observatory

The ocean observatory can be design by according to requirement of operational ocean measurement, and the underwater junction box is used for integration of ADCP, tidal meter, wave gauge, pH meter, seismometer, etc. Data transmission module has on-line and off-line. On-line module uses underwater hybrid cable within copper conductors and fiber-optic cables, which can provide broadband data rate and large electric power between onshore and offshore. Off-line module means that the measured data are logged inside first and then uses underwater acoustic modem for data transmission, or download data after system retrieved.

Underwater Noise Measurement

Provide planning of underwater noise measurement, hardware design of hydrophone and data acquisition, measurement system of shipboard/buoy/bottom-mounted/vehicle, tools of data analysis, data reporting, etc. We have over 15 years’ experience of underwater noise research and provide the analysis methods for ambient noise of wind-generated waves and distant shipping, cetacean sounds, seismic T-wave, shipping noise, offshore piling noise, noise generated by ocean internal waves. We use underwater acoustics propagation model, sea surface noise model, and sonar performance predicted model to evaluate the impact ranges and levels. We also study the underwater noise impact issue for a long-term, and we assisted EPA to draft "the practice guideline of underwater noise assessments in Taiwan's offshore wind farms."
